Donna

She has taught group classes for many years. She believes no two classes should be the same and plans each class to be high intensity with different choreography each time. She enjoys the members and receives pleasure from watching them get stronger and gain confidence. She teaches several of our classes including Cycling, Total Body Pump, Senior Circuit, Silver Sneakers, and Friday Strong.

Donna is certified with Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA).


Elissa

She has been doing Zumba for over four years and started teaching in October 2016 after receiving her Zumba certification.

“I think Zumba is the best, definitely a fun way to burn 600+ calories per class. I love watching my students get into the music, the routines, have fun, and become healthy all at the same time. You don’t have to be a dancer to attend a Zumba class. It’s all about having fun and getting a good workout.”



Mary

She has taught for Curitons Sports Club prior to Katrina, the City of Kenner for 17 years receiving high praise from the Mayor, Jefferson Parish for eight years, Kenner’s Council on Aging, Metairie Manor Senior Fitness for 10 years, and Special Connections for adults with special needs for five years. She is certified with Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and has been a Group Exercise Instructor for 20 years.


Shelley

Shelley has been enjoying Zumba for over five years. She loves Zumba because it is a great way to get healthy, let go of your inhibitions, and have fun! She believes it is so important for everyone to feel comfortable, move around, and enjoy the music.




Debbie

She has been a Group Fitness Instructor for 37 years. Yoga Instructor for 27 years; Pilates Instructor for 21 years. She started her Group Fitness instructing with Aerobics in 1982; Step Reebok Certification 1990; Body Pump Certification 1999. Attended a Fitness Conferences in 1991 and fell in love with Yoga Aerobics. Attended a Mind-Body Fitness Convention in 1998 which continued her interest in Yoga. Pilates Certification 1999; Yoga Fit Certification 2002. She teaches a flow class of different Yoga styles, therefore every class varies in movement. She is very interested in injury prevention and enjoys all the continuing education classes for Yoga and Pilates. She still looks forward to teaching and sharing Yoga and Pilates with the students.
